Job Description: The Project Engineer will be working directly with
the Research & Development (R&D) group developing new products.
The product line is seating, used primarily in the medical
industry. Any background with
furniture design would be a plus. About
85% of your time will be spent developing new products.
Approximately 15 % of your time will be redesigning existing
products. You will lead a team of three designers as you
develop new products and bring them to the pre-production stage.
You must be comfortable with hands-on, 3-D design, as 25% of your
time will be spent doing actual design work. The Project Engineer will have day-to-day responsibilities over all aspects of the project, but ultimately report to the Engineering Manager. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, design reviews, tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, product testing, building prototypes, scheduling, designing, report writing, etc. The company was founded in 1950 and is currently at

BSME Product Development Engineer #6434
Our
client company, located near Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is looking for a
SolidWorks Product Development Engineer for a contract-to-direct position. You
will be doing product development from concept through manufacturing.
Although you will be working primarily with new products, you will
also be involved with some re-designing of existing products.
You will need to have some familiarity with SolidWorks in order to
create the concept, but the actual modeling will be turned over to the
designers and drafters. The
requirements are 3-5 years of product development experience with sheet
metal design and fabrication. A
Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
The contract portion is six months, during which time you will be a
W2 employee of IMPACT Engineering Solutions.
If all goes well, you will be given an offer of permanent
employment with our client company at the end of the six-month period.

Engineer, BSME, Plastics, #6503 Our client company, located on the northwest side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, needs a Project Engineer with 3-5 years of project engineering experience. Must have a BSME with a strong background in plastic injection molded parts. The qualified candidate has experience designing plastic parts in either Pro-E or SolidWorks and has knowledge of the injection molding process. Surfacing experience is a plus, but not required. You will do project management of new products for the cosmetics industry, mainly cosmetic cases. This is a high volume, fast paced, manufacturing environment that is running three shifts per day. This project requires two types of skill levels – design level
and detail level. The designer
positions start at the end of May and run for 8-12 weeks.
The detailer positions would likely start in mid July and run for
about six weeks. Design level people include engineers and senior
designers with hands-on CAD design of automated assembly equipment –
preferably holding fixtures for welding operations and/or design of
robotic-end effectors. Experience
with automotive applications would be a plus, but not required. Detail level people include recent MSOE grads with
3-4 years of SolidWorks course work. Students
