Knowledge-based engineering tools fundamentally change the way you work. They automate repetitive tasks and enable complex models to be driven by forms and drop-down menus. There's a catch, of course; because the automated models and drawings are expected to change (by definition), you have to do more “design intent” planning up front to ensure you get the desired results. This session outlines several tips and tricks for building SolidWorks models in preparation for design automation.
